- Policy Formulation: Aid in the creation, execution, and modification of HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance with legal mandates.
- Internal Audits: Perform internal audits and risk evaluations to pinpoint compliance deficiencies and propose corrective measures.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate and maintain comprehensive reports on compliance matters, audit results, and changes in regulations. Ensure all documentation is thorough and precise.
- Training and Guidance: Offer training and guidance to HR personnel and management regarding compliance issues. Develop educational resources to enhance compliance awareness.
- Investigative Support: Assist in and conduct inquiries into compliance-related issues, employee grievances, or policy breaches.
- Regulatory Awareness: Remain updated on changes in employment laws and regulations, advising on their implications for company policies and practices.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with legal, finance, and other departments to ensure a holistic approach to compliance across the organization.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline. Certification in HR or compliance (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) is advantageous.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years in HR compliance, HR management, or a similar role.
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ADA, EEO, FMLA, OSHA).
- Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage sensitive information discreetly.
- Communication: Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate complex compliance topics clearly and understandably.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experienced with HRIS and compliance management software.
