Data Center Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Data Center Engineering Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the critical physical infrastructure of our data centers, ensuring high availability and performance while maintaining high-quality work standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians in all facets of their career, prioritizing and assigning tasks, managing projects, coaching, and creating documentation.
- Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures.
- Engage in improvement projects, driving them from conception to completion, often requiring collaboration with various support teams.
- Coordinate daily with third-party vendors to ensure adherence to contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls and serve as a second-level escalation point for Data Center facilities-related issues.

Basic Qualifications- High school or equivalent diploma.
- 5+ years of experience in successfully leading diverse teams and implementing operational strategies.
- 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other basic administrative tools.
- 5+ years of experience in managing projects, data analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation.
- Excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations.
