Senior Clinical Counselor

AMIkids Sandoval, Inc. operates a multi-service group home dedicated to providing essential transitional living and support services for young males aged 13-18 who have been referred by various protective services due to concerns such as abuse, neglect, or other at-risk situations.
Position Overview:
The Senior Clinical Counselor is tasked with ensuring that the unique clinical requirements of each youth in their assigned programs are effectively addressed. This role involves overseeing the delivery of therapeutic services through the creation, execution, and management of specialized interventions, including assessments, treatment planning, therapy, crisis management, and referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical services while integrating the Personal Growth Model and Evidence-Based Practices.
- Conduct thorough assessments of youth to identify clinical needs, coordinating with qualified service providers as necessary.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual clinical needs of each youth, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual standards.
- Maintain an active case load of youth, fostering supportive relationships and effective communication regarding their progress with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling services.
- Facilitate psycho-educational programs, delinquency interventions, and clinical services, including Evidence-Based treatments.
- Engage in collaborative treatment team discussions.
- Employ innovative problem-solving techniques and creative therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of youth.
- Uphold the principles of professional ethics and the core values of AMIkids.
- Ensure timely submission and confidentiality of all required reports and documentation.
- Participate in all mandatory training and professional development activities, maintaining necessary certifications and licenses.
- Complete training in crisis intervention and physical restraint as mandated by state and contractual requirements.
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certification through a nationally recognized organization.
- Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related counseling field is required.
- Experience working with at-risk youth is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems is preferred.
State-Specific Licensure Requirements:
New Mexico:
- Must possess a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT) - Provisional License Accepted.
- Must obtain and maintain a National Provider Identifier and Medicaid provider enrollment.
