Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement individualized Respiratory Care Plans.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
Requirements:
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification.
  • Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
