Job OverviewCartridge Actuated Devices, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Business Unit Manager to drive the success of a key business segment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing revenue, developing strong customer relationships, and leading high-performing teams.Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and execute proposals, and drive bookings growth
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty
  • Develop and implement strategies to create value for the business unit, including pricing and productivity improvements
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, contractual performance, and cost objectives are met
  • Participate in and lead contract negotiations, overseeing customer correspondence and ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Develop and execute proposals for new and repeat business, ensuring technical requirements are met, including gross margin, terms, conditions, and proposal guidelines
  • Negotiate contractual commitments with customers as necessary
  • Act as a liaison between customers, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Develop relationships with new business accounts, while maintaining long-standing relationships with distributors
  • Ensure performance requirements (technical, schedule, and budget) are met, providing analysis and reports to leadership
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field
  • 6-8 years' experience in a related field, preferably with a background in sales, engineering, finance, or operations
  • Working knowledge and experience in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Proven ability to demonstrate critical thinking, sound business judgment, and prioritization of multiple competing priorities and projects
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills
  • Proven negotiator with a strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, and the ability to navigate challenging customer situations
  • Broad business knowledge in sales, engineering, finance, and operations
  • Proven ability to interpret and resolve complex contract terms and conditions in the commercial and defense aerospace industry
