Job Title: Task Force Director of Finance

The Task Force Director of Finance is a key role within Remington, responsible for leading the hotel's financial strategy and operations. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize hotel revenue and profitability
  • Manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and department heads to maintain key controls and ensure financial compliance
  • Supervise and evaluate accounting staff performance, providing coaching and training as needed
  • Manage the hotel's accounting cycle, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Review and analyze financial statements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including those related to accounting, tax, and auditing
Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years' experience in hotel financial reporting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ten-key calculator
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and ask for clarification when needed
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Physical Requirements:
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Lift approximately fifteen (15) pounds
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening, and hearing ability and visual ability
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience in hotel or hospitality industry accounting
  • Up to 95% travel, must have valid passport
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
  • Participate in the MOD program, staff meetings, and functions
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, iBuy Efficient, Hotel Effectiveness, ADP, ProfitSword as well as the Hilton and Marriott systems
