Role Overview
As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Your role will involve:
- Utilizing therapeutic communication to foster a safe and supportive environment.
- Identifying and addressing nursing challenges based on individual patient needs.
- Planning and implementing personalized patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Participating in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and align with the hospital's mission.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs while executing physician orders.
- Administer medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Document and communicate patient conditions effectively using computerized systems.
- Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications within six months of hire.
- Preferred one year of clinical nursing experience.
