Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional Substitute

At ESS Education, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional Substitute to join our team. As a substitute paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students, promoting academic growth and development.
  • Assist the classroom teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Help with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Supervise students in various settings, including the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and during before and after school programs, promoting student safety and well-being.
  • Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs, providing individualized support and care.
  • Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans, ensuring compliance and promoting student success.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and support services.
  • State/Federal Criminal History Clearance, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment.
