Job Summary:

Poudre School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students with special education requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications to support students' academic and social growth
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to student success
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and adapt to changing district policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • A valid Colorado Educator's License with the appropriate endorsement
  • Experience working with students with special education needs, preferably in a secondary setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Benefits:

Poudre School District offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, short and long-term disability, access to an employee walk-in clinic, and other optional benefit elections. Pay for this position is determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule, with a range of $52,000 - $74,999 annually.
