Lead Electrical Engineer

CS Energy is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Operations group. As a pivotal role, the Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for technical oversight and management of design for all solar and energy storage projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify project requirements based on utility interconnect agreements, contractual agreements, regulatory requirements, code requirements, etc. and ensure compliance of the disciplines.
- Oversee the engineering output through electrical design, value engineering, calculations, studies, technical specifications, and technical reports from internal engineering team and subcontractors.
- Lead internal and external engineering review meetings, support operations team on client meetings.
- Perform quality control/quality assurance checks, including checking drawings and specifications prior to release.
- Track project design schedules and coordinate with the operations team to ensure expectations are set correctly and design deadlines are met.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited university.
- 8+ years of experience in Photovoltaic and BESS designs, AC (LV, MV & HV) electrical design and power system modelling both executing on and mentoring an engineering team.
- 5+ years experience in power system analysis using software's such as ETAP, SKM, CDEGS and CYMCAP to run cable ampacity, load flow, short circuit, reactive power, and grounding analysis.
- 5+ years managing the technical offering for the Electrical Design on large scale Distributed Generation and Utility Scale projects.
- Strong understanding of all relevant codes and experience working with utilities across the USA.
