Job Summary:

The Legal Assistant will provide critical support to attorneys in managing cases, preparing legal documents, and maintaining pleadings and filings. This is a full-time on-site role that requires a motivated, detail-oriented individual with experience in the legal industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys and support staff with case management, including document preparation and review.
  • File and serve pleadings and discovery in state and federal court cases.
  • Correspond with clients, courts, and other counsel via written communication.
  • Manage court filing correspondence and maintain accurate records of filed documents.
  • Provide administrative assistance to attorneys, including calendar management and deadline tracking.
  • Maintain case expenses, invoices, and time worked on client and general files.
  • Prepare trial and deposition binders to assist attorneys.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal assistant (required), Associate Degree (preferred).
  • Extensive experience filing in both Federal and State courts.
  • Ability to work in a high-level, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
