Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee patient movements in and out of the facility.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of activities.
  • Stay informed about all facility regulations and policies.
  • Assist in the intake process and orientation of new patients.
  • Conduct drug screenings for patients.
  • Verify patient movements through communication with employers.
  • Contact families or friends of patients on furloughs.
  • Perform random searches of patient rooms.
  • Transport patients as required.
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients as authorized.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of PA Criminal Background Check.
  • Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Clearances.
  • Pass Drug and TB Tests.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • CPR certification is required.

Work Environment:

  • Work within a corrections facility setting.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is necessary.
  • Various shifts available.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive while on duty.
