About the Role:

The Surgical Technologist provides critical support to the medical team during surgical and diagnostic procedures for adult and pediatric patients. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures and instrumentation, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepares the operating room for procedures by setting up sterile tables and checking equipment and supplies.
Selects instruments, equipment, and supplies for each surgical procedure.
Assists the surgeon with prepping and draping patients, passing sterile instruments and supplies, and assisting with the surgical procedures as needed.
Identifies and reports instruments and equipment in need of maintenance.
Assists with the transfer of patients into or out of the operating room.
Cleans rooms, instruments, and equipment appropriately.

Requirements:

Completion of a Surgical Technologist program from an accredited institution, applicable military training, or 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist.
CST Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is preferred.
