About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Department Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Management: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Leadership: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and ensure they complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Customer Service: Engage and interact with all customers, and maintain a clean and organized store to promote a culture of honesty and integrity.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, and ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Communication: Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.

We offer a competitive starting pay range of $17.00 to $17.50 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
