About the Role

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing credit data and financial statements of firms to mitigate risk involved in extending credit to commercial customers. This position requires a strong understanding of credit risk management and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to establish customer credit worthiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Sales teams to obtain credit applications and new customer setup forms.
  • Lead the review of financial statements, research credit analyst reports, calculate financial ratios, and check bank and trade references to approve credit lines up to $2M, including setting payment terms based on credit viability.
  • Provide recommendations to management for credit lines above $2M and not limited to, as well as recommendations to not establish credit with a customer.
  • Ensure corporate credit policy and procedures are adhered to.
  • Identify opportunities for Accounts Receivable Specialists to proactively address credit holds.
  • Collaborate with Legal Department and 3rd party collections to resolve uncollected debt.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with IT to support system enhancements and updates to perform efficiently.
  • Stay current on industry standards to apply commercial credit and collections regulatory compliance and procedures.
  • Review daily credit reports to identify credit holds and escalations to management.
  • Escalate collection issues to Sales and/or management as deemed necessary for order release.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and continually work to improve information accuracy.
  • Perform monthly credit reviews via probability reports and customer maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Business, Accounting, and Finance; or 8 or more years related experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of Corporate Credit or Financial experience required.
  • General knowledge of accounting and reading financial statements required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience reviewing and researching company's financial information and quarterly reports to establish customer credit worthiness.
  • Working knowledge of computer software, including CRM applications and NetSuite, preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Corporate Credit Policy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and working with director-level and above leaders.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills required.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills required.
