Job Summary

The IT Director - Global Retail will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of IT strategies that support the company's global retail operations. This includes directing all IT infrastructure and support functions to meet company and internal client requirements, as well as the support and maintenance of existing infrastructure and the development of new technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure global brand strategy is effectively delivered through the implementation of IT solutions.
  • Oversee all IT activities required to successfully open new stores, including planning IT needs with construction teams, IT hardware provisioning and configurations, POS setup and testing, and user training.
  • Act as the main contact point with the 1st Level Retail Support Outsourcer to review KPIs and SLAs and continuously improve the service level.
  • Oversee all internal second-level support activities for all issues related to IT applications and infrastructure in all stores and in the Head Office.
  • Coordinate third-party activities, such as onsite support and installation.
  • Oversee all IT infrastructure, operations, projects, and ongoing user support.
  • Develop and manage the IT team, including organization development, budget management, people development, and management.
  • Align the global organization and ensure consistency in IT operations.
  • Analyze complex business needs and recommend technical solutions.
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing infrastructure by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology relevant to the company's security and infrastructure.
  • Respond to the needs of a 24/7 operation, as needed.
  • Direct and prioritize the workload of IT infrastructure and support teams.
  • Participate in hardware and software evaluations and maintain vendor contracts.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global retail, with experience in IT infrastructure project management. They will possess excellent collaboration and cross-functional communication skills, as well as strong technical ability, including report creation. The candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks. They will also have a proven ability to lead company-wide projects and possess high-level analytical skills and conceptual creative ability. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are also required. The candidate will be a strong leader who enjoys team development and is internal and external client-centric.
