Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Provide high-quality instruction and mentorship to students in the classroom and clinical settings, ensuring they meet the program's learning objectives and outcomes.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and revise curriculum courses, learning objectives, and program assessment and evaluation plans to meet program goals and objectives.
- Student Support: Assist students with academic and personal issues, provide guidance and support, and maintain accurate and timely records.
- Program Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in ongoing curriculum and course assessment and improvement, ensuring the program meets the needs of students, employers, and the veterinary medical technology profession.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with program directors, faculty, and staff to ensure effective communication and a positive working relationship.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to maintain current knowledge and competence in veterinary practice and instructional quality.
- Education and Experience: A current NC licensed veterinarian or credentialed veterinary technician in NC who is a graduate of an AVMA or CVMA-accredited program.
- Skills and Abilities: Well-developed clinical, technical, computer, organization, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with students, staff, faculty, and representatives from various animal health professions and settings.
