  • Operate a multi-line phone system to answer incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Communicate with callers in an efficient manner, minimizing the time they are put on hold.
  • Keep written records of who is on hold and take detailed messages when a call cannot be completed.
  • Use the caller's name whenever possible and handle customer complaints effectively.
  • Welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner and answer customer questions.
  • Maintain the general office filing system and receive deliveries, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
  • Ensure accurate records of visitor requests and calls received.
