An Outside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our customer base. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can effectively manage their schedule to meet customer needs while collaborating with store locations. The ideal candidate will make informed sales decisions to enhance profitability and foster new business relationships. You will receive comprehensive training, tools, and support to ensure your success in this rewarding career.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sales schedule based on customer and store requirements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, securing the correct parts, and resolving any issues.
  • Exhibit professionalism in conduct, appearance, and communication.
  • Maintain proficiency in POS systems and understand pricing strategies.
  • Engage in training sessions as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships through courteous and efficient service.
  • Functional literacy to accurately identify part numbers and line codes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and remain composed under pressure.
  • Familiarity with the local area and ability to operate a vehicle with manual transmission.
  • Availability to work retail hours as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with TAMS point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to process transactions using cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Visual acuity to recognize and remember sequences of letters and numbers.
  • ASE Parts Specialist certification is a plus.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 60 pounds throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach for items on high shelves.
  • Experience with moving heavy equipment using appropriate aids.
