- Execute daily production documentation in line with production goals and critical check points.
- Evaluate tasks from a safety standpoint and guide team members to safe work habits.
- Train, develop, and schedule new employees.
- Maintain production records and ensure quality control guidelines are followed.
- Evaluate worker performance and provide support and feedback.
- Communicate and follow up on employee attendance and performance.
- Recommend and administer disciplinary corrective actions.
- Implement continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor department budget and ensure resources are allocated properly.
- Prepare production reports for upper management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, degree preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience in a leadership role required.
- Familiarity with food processing or food packaging processes.
- Knowledge of food safety/GMP's or advanced sanitation preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
