About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team at UniFirst. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify all vehicles and drivers are properly licensed and insured.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to prevent breakdowns and extend the life of our vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with our fleet vehicles, including brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track and manage maintenance schedules and repairs.
  • Work with our team to ensure all fleet vehicles are in compliance with DOT regulations and UniFirst standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, tire and wheel repair, and computerized diagnostics.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
