Base Compensation
This position offers a minimum base compensation starting at $17.00 per hour, with potential for higher starting pay based on prior experience.

Role Overview:

As a Cashier (Customer Service Associate), you will be the initial and final point of contact for customers at Floor & Decor. Our Cashiers play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service by welcoming customers, processing transactions, managing product returns, executing basic cash office tasks, and ensuring every customer enjoys a remarkable experience. Both Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome every customer in a friendly and respectful manner.
  • Engage with customers, inquire about their projects, suggest our products, and generate excitement about their purchases.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service that surpasses expectations.
  • Comply with the company's safety protocols.
  • Act in alignment with the company's core values.
  • Process customer transactions at the checkout using the point of sale (POS) system.
  • Handle customer refunds and exchanges following established procedures.
  • Open and close cash registers.
  • Adhere to established cash, check, and credit card acceptance protocols.
  • Answer phone calls in accordance with company standards.
  • Stock, label, and display merchandise as needed.
  • Create price tags and signage for merchandise.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Basic math skills required
  • Experience in customer service preferred
  • Willingness to travel to other locations for support as needed.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this role, employees may occasionally work in a warehouse setting and be around moving vehicles. The noise level is generally quiet to moderate.
Physical Requirements:
  • Medium Work - Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Employees are often required to use their hands and fingers for handling tasks. Occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary.
