Product Development Specialist

DSJ Global is seeking a Product Engineer to join their team in Newport News, Virginia. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for handling dimensional characteristics and tooling related to the investment casting process. This includes new development and production castings. You will collaborate closely with a Process Engineer focused on metallurgical aspects, working to optimize yield, cost, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and drawings
- Write effective work instructions, reports, and business correspondence
- Present information and respond to questions from managers and customers
- Apply mathematical operations for tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability, and statistical analysis
- Solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization
- Interpret various forms of instructions (written, oral, diagrams, schedules)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Self-motivated to drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship)
- Experience in casting
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, NX CAD, Minitab, and Excel
- Technical manufacturing and metrology experience
