Die Setter Operator Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Die Setter Operator to perform activities related to the set-up and operation of progressive, compound, and secondary stamping dies. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience with the following:

• Completing die set-ups for production in accordance with Work Order.
• Analyzing and resolving work problems or assisting workers in solving work problems.
• Operating all standard press room machinery and production support equipment.

The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot during setup, perform 1st Piece and in-process inspections during production, and maintain routine machine maintenance. Strong mechanical skills and ability to read blueprints are required. Additionally, the candidate must be organized, able to multi-task, and be adaptable to change.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of vocational training strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' previous experience as a Die Setter.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use and interpret inspection equipment including precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Ability to trouble shoot Press Machine.
• Good math skills and analytical thinking/problem solving.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
