Job Description

At A Bright Future, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Community Resource Coordinator to join our team in North Bay. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting with the admissions process, conducting assessments, and providing exceptional support to our clients and their conservators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine the needs of our clients and develop effective plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure a smooth and organized admissions process.
  • Provide exceptional support to our clients and their conservators, including assistance with daily living tasks and implementation of individualized plans.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, including quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with state and federal regulations and ensure compliance in all aspects of the job.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a related field, such as psychology, child development, or education.
  • 2+ years of experience in resource coordinating services for individuals with special needs.
  • 1+ year of experience working with severely challenging behaviors and implementation of related intervention strategies.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including computer skills.
  • Valid California driver's license, adequate transportation, and a clean DMV record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the service system for adults with developmental disabilities in the State of California.
  • Understanding and commitment to the philosophy of normalization, inclusion, positive programming, and consumer-driven services.
