Patient Services Representative Sr

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative Sr to join our team at INTEGRIS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the integrity of clinic data and patient information
- Answers telephones, takes concise messages, and scans and indexes information into the medical record
- Handles requests for medical records and basic scheduling
- Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits
- Accurately enters patient demographics into the practice management system
- Completes outgoing referrals and assists in training new employees
- Contacts third-party payers for benefit and pre-certification information and enters information into the billing system
- Collects checks and cash for co-pays and deductibles, and makes financial arrangements with guarantors
- Performs financial counseling to patients and families regarding ambulatory care billing processes and procedures
- Works directly with clinical staff to ensure proper patient placement
- Performs check-in and out duties accurately and timely
- Takes messages when answering the telephone, correctly spelling names and identifying patients by two patient identifiers according to National Patient Safety Goals
- Takes clear and concise messages from pharmacies, physicians, and hospital personnel, and directs the message to the clinical employee and/or provider
- Manages large call volumes while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
- Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, including both interpersonal and telephone customer service
- Experience in cashier procedures and/or basic accounting, clinic check-in/out procedures, basic health insurance, HMO, PPO, and basic medical terminology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)

Qualifications:
