Job Overview:
Title: CLASSROOM INSTRUCTOR

Position Classification: Exempt

Core Responsibilities:
Assume accountability for the design and execution of educational instruction aimed at fostering student development within the classroom and school environment.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possesses a valid professional teaching license with an endorsement suitable for the elementary level.
  • Exhibits the professional demeanor and personal traits necessary for effective collaboration with students, parents, educational staff, and community members.
  • Ability to navigate the classroom to supervise students and assess their work amidst various seating arrangements.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple locations throughout the day if assigned to a mobile teaching role.
  • Capable of preparing necessary written documentation.
  • Ability to oversee and promote appropriate student conduct, including in outdoor settings and gymnasiums.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity.
Key Duties:
  • Plans and organizes classroom instruction effectively.
  • Creates a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement.
  • Employs diverse instructional methods to cater to the varying needs of students.
  • Adheres to state regulations, school board policies, and administrative guidelines.
  • Establishes and upholds standards of student behavior essential for a productive classroom and school environment.
  • Encourages responsible citizenship and respectful behavior among students.
  • Monitors and evaluates student progress consistently.
  • Identifies resources and personnel to address the unique needs of individual students.
  • Keeps accurate and comprehensive records as mandated by law, district policy, and administrative guidelines.
  • Communicates with parents regarding student progress, the educational program, and other relevant school matters.
  • Promotes positive relationships between the school and the community.
  • Collaborates effectively with colleagues, support staff, and administration.
  • Engages in professional development activities and exemplifies professionalism.
  • Identifies necessary resources and materials for effective classroom instruction.
  • Contributes to the overall school program.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the school administration.
Reports to: School Administrator Employment Terms: 200 days annually. Additional days may be contracted for specific assignments. Salary is determined according to the School Board Pay Plan. Evaluation: Job performance will be assessed in accordance with School Board policy and administrative regulations regarding the evaluation of licensed personnel.
