Position Overview:

As a Mortgage Processing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our operations. You will have limited interaction with clients but will frequently collaborate with regional loan officers, lending assistants, and various departments. The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor is essential. You will be expected to exercise independent judgment in routine matters and manage tasks that require prolonged periods of sitting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely creation and delivery of loan disclosures to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Order and review necessary documents for a complete loan package, including credit reports, flood certifications, appraisals, and title work.
  • Thoroughly review each loan file to confirm that all documents are present, accurate, and complete.
  • Ensure compliance of loans with Federal and State regulations as well as Bank policies.
  • Conduct complex and confidential administrative tasks, including organizing files, data entry, and maintaining precise records.
  • Manage and respond to all incoming communications effectively.
  • Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing priorities, and handle frequent adjustments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Actively engage in our Customer Service First culture, supporting the organization's values and adhering to established Bank policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification with a minimum of 18 months of administrative experience is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred and may substitute for experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities to discuss complex loan scenarios.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive and independent, with a strong initiative.
  • Exceptional time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Critical thinking skills to identify alternative solutions.
  • Proficient in loan processing software or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
