Key Responsibilities:
In the role of Principal Engineer, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers in the development of sustainable transportation infrastructure.
- Manage complex projects from initial concept through to construction, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather input and facilitate discussions that shape project outcomes.
- Oversee the preparation of feasibility studies, design plans, and construction documents, ensuring adherence to best practices and innovative design principles.
- Participate in business development activities, contributing to proposals and project pursuits.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Professional Engineering license in Maryland or other Mid-Atlantic states.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or project management capacity.
- Extensive knowledge in roadway design, drainage systems, and the creation of accessible public spaces.
- A proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
