Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Accountant 2 to join our Corporate Tax team in Omaha, NE. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing U.S. federal and state income tax filings, audits, tax research and planning, and technology and automation projects.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and review of U.S. federal and state workpapers and tax filings for Forms 1065 and 1120.
  • Preparation and review of calculations for quarterly tax provisions and estimated tax payments.
  • Completion of assigned projects.
  • Assist with income tax audits and field support.
  • Research and analysis of tax issues.
  • Monitor tax legislation and determine impacts to Kiewit.
  • Possible preparation or review of U.S. international and Canada tax returns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
  • Minimum of two years of public accounting or corporate income tax experience. Review experience preferred.
  • Proven technical abilities, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and detail oriented.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, income tax compliance and research software).
  • Able to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and work independently and as part of a team.
