Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images for the interpretation of licensed independent practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by licensed independent practitioners.
  • May be required to learn to scan vascular exams, including venous duplex scans.
  • Provide direct patient care in a compassionate and timely manner.
  • Under the direction of Radiology leadership, perform duties directly involved with technical procedures in the use of ultrasound for diagnosis or pathology.
Requirements
  • Credentialed in Ultrasound technology by one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics/Gynecology (preferred).
  • Associates, America Medical Association (AMA) allied health training program in Ultrasound (preferred).
  • 1 year experience as an Ultrasound Tech (preferred).
Working Conditions

Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. May be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse. May be required to use physical restraints. May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids. May be exposed to human blood and other potentially infectious materials. May have periods of constant interruptions.
