Trueline is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defense Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our litigation support team, you will play a critical role in the success of our clients' cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive case chronologies, utilizing your expertise in construction defect litigation.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, inspections, and meetings with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Manage and monitor discovery deadlines, depositions, hearings, and other critical events.
- Review, analyze, and organize document production from opposing parties and co-defendants.
- Respond to and subpoena records, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
- Draft discovery responses, notices, basic motions, orders, and settlement agreements.
- Prepare records, assemble exhibits, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation materials.
- Prepare open records requests and interact effectively with clients and legal professionals.
- Handle state and federal e-filing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Organize and manage electronic files for large, document-intensive cases.
Requirements:
- Associate degree and/or paralegal certification.
- 3-5 years of construction defect experience, with a strong understanding of litigation procedures.
- Excellent scheduling proficiency and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Organized, personable, and enjoy working in the legal field.
