About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Counselor to work with our team in Augusta, Georgia. As a Behavioral Health Counselor, you will provide counseling services to individuals and groups, promoting optimum mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide counseling services to individuals and groups, focusing on prevention and behavior modification.
- Work with clients to address addiction, substance abuse, family, parenting, and marital problems, as well as stress management and self-esteem issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
- Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition and maintain confidentiality of records.
- Supervise professional staff and/or support level staff, as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with four years of related experience.
- Two years of related experience, or one year of experience at the lower level Behavioral Hlth Counselor 2 (HCP101) or position equivalent.
- Certification or licensure, as required by the position.
