We are seeking a compassionate and client-oriented Mental Health Advocate to join our interdisciplinary clinical team. As a Mental Health Advocate, you will support individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court-Ordered Treatment.

About the Role:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Coordinate access to resources and advocate for your client's well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure that all services prescribed in the individualized service plan are implemented.
  • Conduct outreach and follow-up of services to ensure adequate resources are available and in place.
  • Pursue best practice outcomes for people with mental illness, including continuing education, employment, independent housing, and community tenure.

Requirements:

  • GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, or,
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, electronic medical records, and NextGen are preferred.
  • Valid AZ Driver License: Must have a valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with a minimum of 4 years of driving experience, and meet the requirements of the driving policy.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card within 7 working days of employment.
  • Interpersonal skills that allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members
  • Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening, and positive interactions.
  • A basic understanding of the DSM-V is preferred.
  • A certified Case Manager is strongly preferred.
  • Must pass a background check, TB test, education verification, and other pre-employment screenings.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
