The Clinical Care Assistant will enhance their clinical skills by collaborating closely with healthcare providers and our participants.

The Clinical Care Assistant is responsible for supporting the medical team (physicians, nurses, and on-site specialists) in delivering safe and effective medical services at the WelbeHealth clinic. This role also includes routine administrative and clinical tasks such as scheduling appointments, welcoming participants, managing medical records, recording vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and ensuring the availability of medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare participants for their appointments, which includes setting up examination rooms, checking participants in and out, and gathering an accurate medical history.
  • Conduct necessary pre-examination physical assessments, including measuring and documenting vital signs.
  • Assist with general medical procedures, such as dressing changes and suture removals, under the supervision of a physician.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens as directed and perform routine sterilization of medical equipment.
  • Maintain clinic logs and ensure that examination rooms are consistently stocked, sanitized, and ready for participant visits.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from a Medical Assistant Certifying Organization recognized by the State Medical Board is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical environment, particularly with elderly or frail populations.

Compensation for this role ranges from $21.07 to $25.28 per hour, plus bonuses and equity options. WelbeHealth provides a competitive total rewards package, including 401k matching, healthcare coverage, and a variety of other benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
