Job Title: Junior Information Security Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Information Security Analyst to join our team at InfoStructures, Inc. in Rockville, MD.

Job Summary:

The Junior Information Security Analyst will be responsible for providing security analysis and support to our clients, as well as assisting with the implementation of security solutions and monitoring systems. This is a remote/telework position with occasional visits to our office.

Responsibilities:
  • Client server reboots and validation of successful applied patches
  • Monitor various systems, including anti-virus consoles, vulnerability scanning logs, secure web gateway logs, and Windows logs
  • Security incident detection and response
  • Assist with resolving identified security concerns
  • Identify trends in reports and offer solutions
  • Remediate issues discovered through reporting and console monitoring
  • Work with the team to implement resolutions for tighter security and better productivity
  • Work to keep all equipment up to date
  • Work in a multi-network environment providing solutions to identified security incidents
  • Track monitoring alerts, especially on weekends, and resolve or hand escalation to other team members
  • Maintain tracking of open tickets pending escalation and/or customer response to ensure it is handled in a timely manner
  • Report to various departments on the status of pending tasks that require attention
Requirements:
  • Three years plus providing security analysis and support
  • Three years plus providing Microsoft systems administration support
  • Five years plus providing Microsoft helpdesk support
  • Superior problem-resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple customers at once
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including an ability to deal with people at various levels, from technician to executive
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Strong track record in leading a technical team and in building client relationships
  • Ability to weigh options and provide the most efficient and cost-effective solution from a number of options
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MCSA/MCSE desired
  • A+/Net+ desired
  • Security+ desired
  • Bachelor's degree desired
