Role Summary

As a vital member of our healthcare organization, you will utilize advanced imaging technology to conduct a variety of diagnostic procedures aimed at assessing cardiovascular health. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the care of patients experiencing cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure patient care, including assessments and emergency cardiac interventions.
  • Ensure all imaging equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, documenting any maintenance and quality assurance activities.
  • Capture high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures, performing complex studies as required.
  • Conduct vascular assessments and provide real-time readings during surgical procedures.
  • Support neonatal and pediatric patients with specialized ultrasound studies.
  • Participate in training and educational initiatives for fellow staff members, serving as a resource for best practices in cardiovascular sonography.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage data entry for billing and reporting purposes.
  • Prepare the procedure room and equipment efficiently for daily operations.
  • Respond independently to on-call requirements for urgent procedures.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a recognized ultrasound program.

Licensure/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or be registry-eligible.

Experience: Minimum of one year in an acute care hospital environment.

Skills and Competencies: Must possess specific competencies as required by the organization.
