UNC Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Eden, North Carolina. As a key member of our cardiovascular services team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks targeted to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound imaging, patient preparation, and post-procedure care for patients with cardiovascular disease.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained on a daily basis, and troubleshoot any equipment problems.
- Generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures, and perform advanced cardiac ultrasound studies as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care, and may serve as a subject matter expert and resource to Cardiovascular Sonographer students.
- Monitor and record patient information, and maintain report storage and data systems.
- Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a twelve-month ultrasound program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
- One year minimum experience in an acute hospital setting.
