Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at MemorialCare Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Palliative Care Program.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide primary and specialized care to patients, including examination, evaluation, and recommendation for treatment.
- Rounding and care of patients through performance of clinical duties, including consultations, ordering of diagnostic tests, and prescribing of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies.
- Develop treatment plans to facilitate the continuum of care and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery.
- Function as a consultant, educator, resource, and role model for patients, families, the community, and nursing staff.
- Assist with the development of the Palliative Care Program using evidence-based guidelines.
- Licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of California.
- Current California RN license.
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- National certification in a nurse practitioner specialty preferred.
- Current AHA BLS & ACLS for Healthcare Providers card.
- Eligible for approval of privileges to practice within the Saddleback Memorial Medical Center as an Allied Health Professional through the medical staffing office.
- Current DEA registration or eligible.
- Critical Care and Palliative Care experience preferred.
- NP furnishing license.
- Hospice & Palliative Care certification preferred.
