Your Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to assume the role of Cogeneration Systems Engineer. This position is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cogeneration facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams to enhance equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with contractors and maintenance personnel on capital and maintenance projects.
- Assess and recommend improvements to maintenance practices to optimize equipment performance and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
- Establish testing and calibration protocols for essential equipment.
- Regularly consult with engineering and maintenance teams to address cogeneration plant issues.
- Monitor critical process parameters and provide insights on equipment performance.
- Assist in outage planning and coordination with maintenance teams.
- Drive process improvements to enhance production capacity and operational reliability.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and operating permits.
- Participate in health, safety, and environmental programs to promote a safe workplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to respond to emergencies and work non-standard hours.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of high-energy piping metallurgy.
- Familiarity with NERC requirements.
- Experience with steam and gas turbines.
- Background in HRSG management and maintenance.
