Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at Nephrology Associates of Northern Illinois and Indiana (NANI). As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Enter patient registration information into our computer system, verifying insurance details and updating patient records as necessary.
  • Accurately calculate and collect patient payments, following established office guidelines.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, responding to patient inquiries and providing accurate information regarding test preparations and appointment schedules.
  • Maintain patient records, including filing of diagnostic test reports and updating records as needed.
  • Upload and scan patient information and documentation into our electronic medical record system.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate cancellations, reschedules, and additions to schedules.
  • Document all calls, correspondence, and encounters with patients according to established guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including ordering supplies for the office and treating all medical records in a secure and confidential manner.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of receptionist experience or experience in a medical office preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Positive, friendly attitude and excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use computer software, including Microsoft products and scheduling software.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high level of compassion.
  • Second language proficiency a plus.
