**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Part-Time Technical Support Specialist to join the Bedford Stuyvesant Early Childhood Development Center (BSECDC) team. In this role, you will provide technical support to staff and assist with maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Technical Support: Respond to and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral device issues for staff in a timely manner.
  • Install and Configure Hardware and Software: Assist with setting up new equipment, installing necessary software, and performing system updates as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating more complex problems to senior IT staff if necessary.
  • User Assistance: Provide training or guidance to staff on the use of IT systems, applications, and equipment.
  • Maintain IT Documentation: Update records related to IT assets, repairs, and installations.
  • Ensure Network Connectivity: Assist with maintaining wired and wireless network connections throughout the center.
  • Backup and Recovery: Assist in performing regular data backups and ensuring data integrity across systems.
  • System Security: Monitor and maintain the organization's security protocols, ensuring all systems are secure and up-to-date.

Estimated Salary: $20-$25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 15-20 hours per week. Flexibility in schedule is preferred to accommodate the organization's needs, particularly during peak times or emergencies.
