Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, experience working in the construction industry, and the ability to take the initiative to drive activities with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including prompt client invoicing and financial system utilization to monitor project financial status.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including producing detailed project plans.
  • Apply performance management techniques to monitor and improve project performance.
  • Manage change control processes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Prepare formal project budget progress and other reports.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Ensure awareness of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.

  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
  • Requires expert-level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions.
  • Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  • Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
  • Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements.
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems.
  • Passion for being detail-oriented and highly organized.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum five or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering, or similar experience.
  • Public sector construction experience required, preferably.
  • Experience with Oregon public contracting and ORS/OAR/BOLI compliance.
  • CACM, CMIT, Associate DBIA, PMP, or LCI certification preferred.

Additional Information:

The salary range for this full-time role is $100k-$120k per year. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
