Job Title: Site Engineer

Planate Management Group is a leading provider of program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the construction process, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in the construction industry, with a focus on large government and health care facilities construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules, and quality standards.
  • Effectively calculate construction costs for changes and negotiate equitable contract adjustments.
  • Conduct meetings to resolve problems on construction projects and brief clients and management personnel.
  • Maintain official construction site records and prepare correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with building code requirements and scheduling methods.
  • Make materials take-offs for construction work, price the value of needed work, and negotiate equitable contract adjustments.
  • Manage crises and conflict resolution with finesse.
  • Implement safety practices in the construction industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of project experience in the construction industry.
  • Proven working experience in construction management.
  • In-depth knowledge of all facets of the construction process including interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in preparing correspondence and maintaining official construction site records.
  • Experience in conducting meetings to resolve problems on construction projects, and briefing clients and management personnel.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.
  • In-depth knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods.
  • Expertise in calculating construction costs for changes.
