Finance Support Specialist

Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general oversight of the Finance Director and direct supervision of the Customer Service Manager, this role provides essential technical and clerical support, particularly in the areas of utility billing and financial record management associated with the utility billing process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist customers at the Utility Drive-Up Window during assigned shifts.
  • Serve as a backup Utility Clerk at the front counter when other clerks are unavailable.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: An Associate's degree in accounting, business, or a related discipline is required.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or billing, or a suitable combination of education and experience is necessary. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Caselle Software Utility Billing.

CERTIFICATIONS: A valid Utah Driver's License is required.

COMPENSATION: The hourly wage ranges from $19.00 to $26.00, commensurate with experience. This position does not include benefits.

WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, with a commitment of 5 hours per day between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. There may be occasional requirements to work from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on those days to assist with coverage at the Utility Counter or to support assigned projects.
