Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Operations Manager to lead and coordinate electrical maintenance and construction initiatives at our underground salt mining facility.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of the electrical power distribution system, along with the design of control circuits for our mining equipment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership of Electrical Teams: Direct and oversee the work of electrical maintenance and construction personnel.
  • Power Distribution Management: Create and maintain the electrical power distribution framework for the mine, ensuring efficient and reliable energy supply.
  • Control Circuit Design: Develop and implement control circuits for mining machinery, ensuring safety and optimal performance.
  • Project Oversight: Manage electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Safety Assurance: Uphold safety regulations and company policies in all electrical operations, promoting a culture of safety.
  • Team Development: Mentor and lead a team of electricians and technicians, providing training and performance assessments.
  • Troubleshooting Expertise: Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize operational downtime.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep precise records of maintenance activities, project developments, and system performance metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement strategies for enhancing processes, reducing costs, and improving system reliability.

Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within an industrial setting, ideally in mining or heavy industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control circuits, with familiarity in underground mining electrical systems being advantageous.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop electrical teams effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving electrical challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Safety Commitment: A strong dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting safety practices.

Work Environment
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Capable of working in various temperature conditions in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry loads exceeding 50 lbs, as well as perform tasks requiring climbing, crawling, bending, and reaching.
