About the Role

This exciting opportunity presents a unique chance for a highly skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team near New Haven, IN. As an SLPA, you will play a crucial part in supporting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) by participating in assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering therapy services, and closely monitoring client progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments, supervised by licensed SLPs, to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Support the creation of individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, client goals, and SLP guidance.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions as directed by licensed SLPs, encompassing speech and language therapy, voice therapy, fluency therapy, and swallowing therapy.
  • Apply various tools and techniques to enhance communication skills, improve speech articulation, and develop language comprehension and expression.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education on communication disorders.
  • Assist in monitoring student progress, documenting treatment outcomes, and reporting findings to licensed SLPs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Valid and active state certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Preferred previous experience working as an SLPA or in a related role.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in speech-language pathology.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of licensed SLPs and collaborate effectively within a team.
Estimated Salary Range

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
