Position SummaryThe Concessions Team Leader plays a crucial role in managing the concessions staff across various departmental functions. Under the guidance of management, this position is tasked with providing leadership to ensure the delivery of outstanding food and beverage experiences that surpass expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist management with administrative tasks to meet weekly deadlines.
- Facilitate ongoing training programs to develop staff capabilities.
- Foster a cohesive team environment to execute events effectively.
- Support management in overseeing departmental operations to ensure successful event execution.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for the concessions team.
- Collaborate with management to create and manage weekly schedules in accordance with union agreements.
- Coordinate with the Scheduling Manager to manage employee absences.
- Work with management to maintain POS systems, including menu and pricing updates.
- Address and resolve issues involving employees and patrons with management support.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in collaboration with the location sanitarian and alcohol compliance team.
- Assist in training Supervisors and Stand Leads.
- Lead supervisors to ensure adherence to operational checklists and service standards.
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in Food & Beverage or a related field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume food service environment is preferred.
- One year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or service setting is preferred.
- Experience with credit card processing and computerized POS systems is required.
- Exceptional guest service skills and adherence to company values.
- Ability to complete required sanitation and alcohol service training.
- Knowledge of high-volume food and beverage operations.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and management.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Motivated and proactive in taking initiative.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain on feet for the duration of the shift.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Visual and auditory skills sufficient for order taking and billing.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled restaurant environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
