Key Responsibilities:

Position Title: Mixologist

Reports To:


The Mixologist will report directly to the Beverage Supervisor on duty and is ultimately accountable to the Captain while the vessel is in operation.


Supervises:

None

Primary Duties:

The Mixologist is responsible for operating the cash register, managing cash transactions, and preparing beverages for guests.

1. Collect payments for beverages served and ensure accurate cash handling.

2. Verify customer identification to confirm age eligibility for alcohol purchases.

3. Take beverage orders and serve a variety of drinks including wine and beer.

4. Mix ingredients to craft cocktails and other beverages.

5. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, workspaces, and tables.

6. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner's Credential.

3. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.

4. Valid TWIC card or completion of the TSA enrollment process.

5. Strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to effectively communicate with guests.


Physical evaluations for employment aboard McAllister Towing vessels adhere to the guidelines set forth by the United States Coast Guard.


FLSA Status:

Non-Exempt
