Medical Office LPN Neuro Department Position in Poughkeepsie, NY

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Neuro Department at our Poughkeepsie location. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing primary medical care to our patients, working closely with physicians and physician assistants to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for medical exams, obtaining vital signs and basic medical data as needed.
- Provide direct patient care, including vaccinations, medications, and wound care.
- Collect and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
- Instruct patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and test preparation.
- Communicate with patients via phone to provide follow-up, test results, and physician instructions.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and WCMG's missions through quality improvement initiatives.
- Meet all meaningful use requirements and fulfill compliance responsibilities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills and data entry experience.
- Ability to obtain accurate patient vitals and administer vaccinations.
- Minimum one year of experience as an LPN.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
